It very unusual for a film star to take on a TV series, especially on an American network, but British actor Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love) was eager to play FBI agent Mark Benford in ABC’s new hit drama FlashForward.

The show follows a group of people who, along with every human being on earth, black out for two minutes and seventeen seconds, all seeing their future at 10 p. m. Pacific Time on April 29, 2010.

Taking on the investigation into what occurred, and attempting to figure out if it will happen again, Benford and the other agents conceive of a worldwide website – the Mosaic Collective – where people can relate their visions, in the hope that the FBI can figure out a pattern and stop what may be about to happen next year.

I visited the set of FlashForward on September 14th, and asked the series’ star, Joseph Fiennes, if he every had a ‘vision of his future’ on American TV!
