Here is the trailer for 50/50 a film about a 27 year old writer who is diagnosed with cancer.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s lead role as Adam was originally going to be played by James McAvoy who had to drop out due to other commitments.
This comedy, drama had various titles in pre-release including I’m with Cancer and Get Well Soon. The problem here was many people said they would not have gone to see a film about cancer which sounded downbeat which kind of misses the point as the film is a comedy about friendship and living life so they came up with 50/50. Will that work for, Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the film? I expect it is 50/50!
Based on an incredible real-life experience, 50/50 is a funny, touching and original story of friendship, love, and survival.
Adam (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a 27 year old writer of radio programs and is diagnosed with a rare form of spinal cancer. With the help of his best friend, his mother, and a young therapist at the cancer center, Adam learns what and who the most important things in his life are.
