  1. Turned out surprising good.

The disconnect as to why the Daleks would have an asylum was got over with the Doctor question it.

There were moments of tension almost worthy of a horror film – the dead people in the crashed spaceship and the sleeping Daleks awaking up.

The spectacle of the Dalek Parliament and the amazing vastness of the snow covered landscape all helped with the filmic feel.

And then there was the surprise of the appearance of the new companion to be… soufflé girl Jenna-Louise Coleman who turns out to be a Dalek!

A great start to Season 7 full of drama, tension and wonder!
