Alex Cross reboots the movie series that started with the film Kiss the Girls and followed by Along Came A Spider. The story takes Alex Cross back to show the origins of the character as a Detroit police department detective.

Director Rob Cohen saw the potential in the script but realized that the Cross character had to be re?imagined from the books as well as the two movies with some out?of?the?box casting.

The 1997 and 2001 originals starred Morgan Freeman. In this we have Tyler Perry taking on the title role.

Matthew Fox of Lost fame plays the villian, a serial killer by the name of Picasso.
