In the eight episode of Doctor Who Season 7 The Doctor and Clara land on a damaged Russian Submarine in 1983.

In this episode a Classic Doctor Who monster makes a reappearance. An Ice Warrior, is the alien creature referred to in the official information.

The Ice Warrior race first appear with the second Doctor (Patrick Troughton) in The Ice Warriors November 1967. They reappeared in The Seeds of Death (1969), then with the third Doctor (Jon Pertwee) in The Curse of Peladon (1972) and The Monster of Peladon (1974). They also get a mentioned in The Waters of Mars (2009).

The Doctor and Clara land on a damaged Russian Submarine in 1983 as it spirals out of control into the ocean depths.

An alien creature is loose on board, having escaped from a block of Arctic ice.

With tempers flaring and a cargo of nuclear weapons on board, it’s not just the crew but the whole of humanity at stake!
