With the announcement of the death of Baroness Margaret Thatcher today we thought it appropriate to highlight Meryl Streep’s role as her in The Iron Lady back in 2011. Meryl went on to win an Oscar for her performance at the 2012 Oscars.

Although she was well thought of through out her time as Prime Minster in American, in the UK her style of politics brought a love or hate her feelings. So whilst many here in the USA where stunned by exit as Prime Minster those in the UK almost felt, because of her style of governing, it was almost inevitable.

Prime Minster Margaret Thatcher today is recognised by all political parties of of being a strong leader of great stature. Most also except that it was what the country needed at the time to lead the Uk out of many of it’s problems including an over strong Union movement.

The Iron Lady most controversially also shows Baroness (as she became on leaving the House of Commons) Margaret Thatcher suffering from Demential. Something I know of as my mother also is starting to show the signs of this heart breaking condition.
