Chloe Grace Moretz was at the Carrie junket and was specifically asked about on being in The Equalizer. A film regular readers will know we have a specific interest in!
Our Los Angeles corespondent, Judy Sloane, brother Michael Sloan created the television series and has a producer credit on the new film.
Chloe talked about Denzel and some of the other actors she has worked with. “I did [The Equalizer] with Denzel Washington and he’s amazing. Honestly, Denzel Washington, Julianne Moore and Juliette Binoche are my three favorite actors I’ve ever worked with. Denzel taught me SO many things about being an actor just from being around him”
Julianne Moore worked with Chloe on Carrie, due out in October 18th, and Juliette Binoche worked with her on Sils Maria which is due for a 2014 release.
Chloe went on to say, “I learned more with those three people in my career in the 11 years I’ve been here. I have seen so much just watching them conduct themselves on set. The way they act. The way they go over their lines. The things they do.”
“It’s all such different acting styles but brilliant, brilliant actors. It was like I was taking acting classes just watching them and learning from them. You are learning by looking into their eyes.”
“Denzel is a great, great, great actor. And, Antoine Fuqua is one of the best directors I’ve ever worked with. He’s a brilliant man.”
The Equalizer is due out in the US and Canada on September 26, 2014. The UK is one of those countries that will get it earlier. That theatrical date there is May 2, 2014.
