Doctor Who 801, the first episode of Season 8, has Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, Victorian London, spontaneous combustions and a rampant dinosaur on the run…

This is the eighth season of Doctor Who (2000s). It was brought back, after a rest, in 2005. Then we had Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor. David Tennant followed, with Matt Smith next. John Hurt’s Doctor made a surprise appearance last year. Now we have Peter Capaldi taking on the role in this season with 12, not the usual 13, episodes.

This episode is a special extended length with 75 minutes not including ad breaks.
