In Thunderbirds Are Go 104, titled “Cross Cut“, Scott And Virgil find more than they bargained for when exploring an abandoned uranium mine in South Africa.
As you can see from our main picture The Mole makes it’s first appearance in this series. The Mole, carried in one of Thunderbird 2 pods, can dig underground just like the animal that it is named after. It made numberous appearances in the original Thunderbirds 1965/6 series and also appeared in the Jonathan Frakes directed 2004 movie.
“Cross Cut” is the fourth episode of Thunderbirds Are Go, and ninth produced overall. It was first publicly shown at at the trade show MIPJunior back in October 11th 2014.
Thunderbirds Are Go 104 “Cross Cut” first airs in the UK on Saturday April 18th 2015.

Thunderbirds Are Go 104 “Cross Cut” – Lowdown
Thunderbird 5 picks up an unusual radiation spike from a remote corner of Africa, and Scott rushes in with Thunderbird 1 to check it out.
Using specialized equipment, Scott enters the mine, owned by the Van Arkel Corporation, and discovers the source to be a leak of unstable uranium. Moments later, he is attacked by a mysterious woman who claims that the mine actually belongs to her family.
During their confrontation, the mine begins to crumble, and Scott and the woman must find a way to get out in a fight for survival…
