Ahead of a Comic Con panel the BBC have released a second teaser picture from the upcoming Sherlock Special which has the stars in Victorian clothes.
The teaser picture featuring the two stars Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch was released at 7:30am UK time on the BBC’s twitter account. The special takes place during Victorian times, hence the classic clothes and Martin Freeman’s dashing hipster mustache!
Show runner Steven Moffat has told Entertainment Weekly, “We wouldn’t have done the story we’re doing, and the way we’re doing it, if we didn’t have this special. It’s not part of the run of three episodes. We could hardly conceal it’s Victorian.”
He went on to mention that “Mark Gatiss [co-creator] and me, we wanted to do this, but it had to be a special, it had to be separate entity on its own. It’s kind of in its own little bubble.”
The Comic Con panel takes place today in the afternoon in San Diago at 3.45-4.45pm PDT.
The 90-minute Sherlock Special is expected to air around Christmas in the UK. Currently no news or rumors for the US airing on PBS. Sherlock Season 4 is expects to start filming in Spring 2016…
