David Ayer’s Suicide Squad has had it’s trailer rush released because of leaks to the internet from a ComicCon screening.

The film stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne. and is due in theaters August 5th 2016.

Tom Hardy was originally cast but had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts. His role of Rick Flagg is taken by Joel Kinnaman, who was also in Child 44 with Tom!

This is what the studio said about this trailers release today… “Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday.”

They added, “We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed.”

They finished saying, “We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic-Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation.”
