To highlight the new episodes of Supergirl Season 2 we have a new poster. The picture has Melissa Benoit’s character with, for the first time, Superman played by Tyler Hoechlin.

Tyler Hoechlin was one of the characters in the 2011 tv version of Teen Wolf. This based on the movie that starred Michael J Fox. Earlier this year Tyler co-starred in the comedy Everybody Wants Some. The film following rowdy teammates navigating their way between girls, parties and baseball.
As part of the transfer from the main CBS channel to The CW Supergirl will have it’s first season repeated on it’s new channel. This starts this coming Monday August 1st 2016. We will get two episodes each week with the new Supergirl Season 2 episodes starting October 10th 2016 in the 8pm slot. From the second week it will be parred with Jane the Virgin in the 9pm slot. We are not sure what they are trying to tell us with this!
Supergirl will also be part of the programming available to Netflix members.

Supergirl is an action-adventure drama based on the DC character Kara Zor-El, Superman’s (Kal-El) cousin. After 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth she decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.
Twelve-year-old Kara escaped the doomed planet Krypton with her parents’ help at the same time as the infant Kal-El. Protected and raised on Earth by her foster family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex. She learned to conceal the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin in order to keep her identity a secret.
Years later at 24, Kara lives in National City assisting media mogul and fierce taskmaster Cat Grant. She works alongside her friend and IT technician Winn Schott and famous photographer James Olsen. Grant has just hired him away from the Daily Planet to serve as her new art director.
However, Kara’s days of keeping her talents a secret are over. Hank Henshaw, head of a super-secret agency where her sister also works, enlists her to help them protect the citizens of National City from sinister threats. Kara will need to find a way to manage her newfound empowerment with her very human relationships. Though her heart soars as she takes to the skies as Supergirl to fight crime.
Supergirl is based on characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television are marking the show. The executive producers are Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Arrow), Ali Adler (The New Normal, Glee), Andrew Kreisberg (The Flash, Arrow) and Sarah Schechter (Arrow, The Flash).
