The UK station ITV has put out a 10 second teaser for Thunderbirds Are Go Season 2 highlighting the start in the Autumn of 2016. (translation: Fall 2016!).

The ten second teaser consists of the clip from the end of Season 1 where the Hood has been captured but telling international Rescue’s friend Colonel Casey that he maybe a prisoner but what is to follow is far worse! Clue a few very short of explosions and disasters.

We see an underwater scene with Gordon Tracy in trouble and something, maybe Thunderbird 4, exploding behind him. Thunderbird 3 is in action not far from some red-earthed ground, is this Mars? There also a strong nasty looking man with a mohican hair, googles and a mouth mask. He is throwing a wooden arrow at us!

There also two other shots in this. One is an International Rescue hat being put down on a console. As pointed out by “The2ndFox” on our YouTube Channel we have not so far seen the Team wearing hats in this update version…

The other is more intriguing. We see what might be a space capsule on a sea bed underwater. The writing on it says “TV-21” and under this is has “Col Jeff Tracy”. We guess the “TV-21” is a bit of a in joke as this was the name of a 1960’s Comic to accompany Gerry Anderson’s various puppet series, chiefly Thunderbirds. As we have been told their father, Jeff Tracy, will also not feature in Season 2 it looks like this might only be one of his old spaceships? But perhaps we will discover more about what has happened to him?

We expect ITV is be showing the first batch of 13 episodes from September / October 2016 and the second batch of 13 in the first half of of 2017. Later in that same year there is also a Thunderbirds Are Go Season 3 which we expect to follow the same pattern. Maybe then we might have Jeff Tracy back?

Amazon, early this year, acquired the exclusive USA rights. The first 13 episodes of the show are scheduled to debut on Amazon Prime Video in the US later in 2016. These will also later be available from them in the UK, Germany and Austria, but obviously not exclusively.
