Denzel Washington is the lead star of the remake The Magnificent Seven (2016). In our ‘videobyte’ he tells of the joy of playing Cowboys. Even if this was not a child hood dream of his!
He tells of his delight with the role while he was at the press conference for the movie. This took place this past weekend at the Venice Film Festival.
Denzel has played the lead role in many a film. One most notable for us here at Film Review is his portrayal of Robert McCall in the film version of The Equaliser. Michael Sloan co-creatored the 1985-89 TV show. That had Edward Woodward in the main role. Michael is the brother of our Los Angeles reporter, Judy Sloane. He was also one of the producers of Denzel’s movie in 2014.
The Equaliser 2 announced for 2017 but not yet filmed. It therefore looks like Denzel will be continue to be in demand.
