Gordon Finds The Wreck Of An Old Thunderbird

When surveying damage on a deep dive ship, Gordon finds something rather interesting…
(Editor note: This ‘Old Thunderbird’ Gordon finds was once flown by his father (Jeff Tracy) and looks to us as more of a rocket space ship. Confusingly the official lowdown is referring to it as a ‘plane’. Obviously we have to watch the episode for sure. You should also be aware that Jeff Tracy is missing in this series so this is the reason for the particular interest. Also, you may have already noted the little in joke: the name of the vessel “TV-21” was also what the 1960’s ‘Thunderbird’ comics were titled.)

Thunderbirds Are Go 206 “Up From the Depths” Part One – Official Lowdown

Season 2 Episode 6 – “Up From the Depths” Part One

A survey vehicle stalls at the bottom of the Marianas Trench just as it discovers an old plane once flown by Jeff Tracy.

Gordon takes Thunderbird 4 down to save the crew and get a better look at the prototype. But the survey ship, designed by The Mechanic, transforms and wrecks Thunderbird 4.

Gordon is forced to abandon ship and seek refuge on his dad’s TV-21 plane. To save the survey crew, Gordon powers up the plane and manages to take it up to the surface.

Once the TV-21 has re-emerged, the Mechanic yanks it out of the water and makes his escape. Continued in Part 2.
