On August 1st 2017 we caught up with Jason Isaacs at the TCA presentations at CBS Studio Center in Los Angeles.
He plays Captain Gabriel Lorca in the new Star Trek: Discovery. The Show premieres on the main CBS channel today, Sunday September 24th 2017. Then each episode debuts on CBS Interactive. Outside the US you can watch it on Netflix from September 25th.

Captain Gabriel Lorca in Star Trek: Discovery
The Golden Globe, BAFTA, International Emmy Award and Critic’s Circle Award-nominated actor Jason Isaacs began his acting career at Bristol University. He studied Law, but found himself acting, producing, writing and directing most of the time. Then, after graduation, he trained for three years at London’s prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
In 2000, his breakout role as Colonel William Tavington in Roland Emmerich’s feature film The Patriot. This garnered him numerous nominations, including one from the British Film Critics’ Circle.
Two years later, Isaacs began his role as Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. He went on to reprise the role and got global recognition in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. He also starred in the last two films, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Parts I and II.
Most recently, he was seen in the genrebending breakout Netflix series The OA and is set to return for the second season of the hit show early 2018.
Soon, Isaacs will be seen in the animated comedy Happy Family. This features the voices of Nick Frost, Catherine Tate and Emily Watson.
