We catch up with main star of Star Trek: Discovery at the TCA presentations at CBS Studio Center in Los Angeles, August 1st 2017.

She plays the main focus role in Star Trek: Discovery, First Officer Michael Burnham. The Show premieres on the main CBS channel today, Sunday September 24th 2017. Then each episode debuts on CBS Interactive. Outside the US you can watch it on Netflix from September 25th.

First Officer Michael Burnham in Star Trek: Discovery


Sonequa Martin-Green is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Sasha on the AMC series The Walking Dead.

In addition, Martin-Green is recognizable from her numerous recurring television roles across both comedy and drama, most notably as the prankster Rhonda on FOX’s comedy New Girl, Tamara on ABC’s Once Upon A Time and Courtney Wells on CBS’
Emmy-winning drama, The Good Wife.

On the big screen, Martin-Green received rave reviews for her starring turn in Emily Abt’s Sundance hit Toe To Toe. Here she played Tosha Spinner, a highly driven inner-city high school teenager.

Currently, Martin-Green resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Kenric Green, and their son.
