Krypton Official Lowdown

What if Superman never existed? Krypton is set two generations before the destruction of Superman’s home planet, Krypton. In the series we follow Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), the legendary Man of Steel’s grandfather. Here he is a young man who is faced with a life and death conflict. Does he save his home planet or let it be destroyed in order to restore the fate of his future grandson?

The Krypton’s leadership is in disarray and the House of El is ostracized. Seg therefore finds himself in a difficult position. He must redeem his family’s honor and protect the ones he loves. At the same time he is being challenged by familiar DC characters Brainiac (Blake Ritson) and Earthly time-traveler Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos).

Executive producer David S Goyer is know for Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and The Dark Knight Trilogy. He is working alongside Cameron Welsh, who serves as showrunner.

In addition to Cuffe, Sipos and Ritson (named above), the show also stars Georgina Campbell (Broadchurch), Elliot Cowan (Da Vinci’s Demons), Ann Ogbomo (World War Z), Rasmus Hardiker (Your Highness), Wallis Day (Will), Aaron Pierre (Tennison) and Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones).

The series is based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

It is a Warner Horizon Scripted Television production for the SyFy Network.
