Visionary filmmaker Tim Burton helmed the live-action movie. It’s a reimagining of Disney’s 1941 animated classic Dumbo. Tim is known for his movies Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Dumbo was filmed in England, like many of his films. It is actually also where Tim lives!

Dumbo was always one of my favorite Disney films,” tells Tim. His objective was to, “give it the same heart, feeling, and emotion that we all loved about the original.”

Dumbo Lowdown

The film is from Disney and visionary director Tim Burton. the all-new grand live-action adventure Dumbo expands on the beloved classic story. It’s a story where differences are celebrated. It also cherished the family and enables dreams to take flight.

Walt Disney’s classic animated tale of Dumbo opened October 23, 1941. It won an Oscar® for best scoring of a musical picture. Also, it got a nomination for best original song for “Baby Mine.

The live-action reimagining of Dumbo utilizes state-of-the-art visual effects to portray Dumbo. and, of course, many of his four-legged counterparts.

Directed by Tim Burton with a screenplay by Ehren Kruger.

The movie was produced by Justin Springer, Kruger, Katterli Frauenfelder, and Derek Frey.

Dumbo flies into theaters on March 29, 2019.
