Dad’s Army: The Lost Episodes is a remake of three Season 2 missing stories. They are using the original Jimmy Perry and David Croft scripts from series two.

Obviously, the original cast is mostly now dead so like the 2015 docu-drama and the 2016 film, there is a new cast. Arthur Lowe, John Le Mesurier characters are now played by Kevin R McNally and Robert Bathurst. The producers have tried to cast actors similar in age to the originals.

The sets were detailly reconstructed to match the original and the episodes filmed over a three week period in front of a studio audience. The Episodes will be shown on the UK’s Gold channel from 25th August 2019. They are on one after another on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

  • 3. ‘Under Fire’

The stories were originally Season 2’s episodes 3, 5 and 6 shown in 1969.

The new seven core cast are:-
