In the season Queen Elizabeth II (now played by Olivia Colman) faces a rapidly changing Britain. Also we have her family continue to struggle against the needs of the monarchy and the wants of their fracturing personal lives.
This Season covers the period between Harold Wilson’s election as Prime Minster of Britain in 1964 to the queens Silver Jubilee in 1977.

In the cast we also have Helena Bonham-Carter portraying Princess Margaret and Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher.
The cast changes, help move time on in the show. The changes include Tobias Menzes replacing Matt Smith as Prince Philip. Plus we also have Charles Dance plays Lord Mountbatten and Josh O’Connor, of the ITV’s The Durrells, as Prince Charles.
Emerald Fennell plays Camilla. She has been seen in BBC’s Call The Midwife but she also was screen writer of Killing Eve season 2!
