London Star Trek fans are in for a treat as London Underground today will find themselves transported to the heart of the Federation! It to mark the launch of Amazon Prime Video’s original new series Star Trek: Picard.

“PICARDilly Circus” today

From today, Wednesday January 15th to Thursday 16 January, the Grade II listed station will be renamed “PICARDilly Circus”. It will have roundels in the ticket hall and platforms rebranded and specially created signage and posters. Of course it’s all advertising publicity for the new series. They have fitted it out over night throughout the station!

If you lucky to be in London you be able to hear Special public service announcements made! It will be advising customers on how to avoid (Pi)card-clash. You have to be a Londoner to understand that joke, it’s to do with the payment system. You will also be advised to “take care when using stairs, escalators or transporters” while travelling through the station!

CBS All Access streaming service premieres Star Trek: Picard in the USA on January 23rd, 2020. In Canada it’s on the same service as Star Trek: Discovery. Elsewhere in the world you can find it on Amazon Prime from January 24th, 2020 (as basically that’s the same given the time difference!).

We will be investigating the station ourselves later and will update the article.

Final note we hear unconfirmed reports of a Star Trek: Picard premiere event in Leicester Square tonight…
